In the wake of devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, Feed the Need is stepping up to help those affected.

The Feed the Need Committee, a group of Orlando-area professionals who work together organizing the event, has decided to designate $5,000 of the upcoming event’s proceeds to the Salvation Army of Orlando for hurricane relief to Central Florida residents who are struggling to recover.

Held annually since 2001, Feed the Need is a fundraising event supporting the Christian Service Center for Central Florida, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to combating hunger and preventing homelessness in our community. Net proceeds from Feed the Need directly support hurting families and individuals who come to the Christian Service Center in their time of greatest need and crisis.

“We were all affected in one way or another by Irma last week, so it was natural for our Feed the Need Committee to want to contribute. This is what Feed the Need does, helps neighbors who are struggling,” said Robert Stuart, Executive Director of the Christian Service Center.

Now in its 17th year, Feed the Need is a great night of locally-prepared food, wine, music and dancing, plus the chance to bid on unique items in live and silent auctions. There will also be a Raffle for a “choose your own getaway” to help toward this hurricane relief effort.

Feed the Need event tickets are on sale now for just $75 each and available here, or at the Christian Service Center and The Tap Room at Dubsdread.
