The 18th annual Feed the Need party took place on October 4 at the Tap Room at Dubsdread. Presented this year by Tom & Donna Page, Feed the Need raised more than $50,000 to help eliminate hunger among local children and their struggling families through the Christian Service Center’s Love Pantry in-school food cabinet program. The silent auction was conducted for the first time on a mobile platform, allowing attendees, as well as people across the nation, to place competing bids and win unique items right from their phones. Auctioneer Benjamin Farrell got the crowd into the cause, who contributed $2,000 for the Love Pantry on the spot with “Text to Donate”!
